In 1943,World War II was still being fought.That year some brave Jews started the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising,which was meant to stop Nazi Germany from sending people from the ghettos of Warsaw to extermination camps. Unfortunately,they were not successful. That same year Helen Thomas began her long(and I DO mean LONG)career as a member of the press. Now,67 years later,she has been FIRED by her news agency. My bad,she has "RESIGNED" from her news agency for making the following comments.
"Israel should get the hell out of Palestine and return to Poland,Germany or the U.S."
I'm not going to get involved over whether she has a valid point or not.People who have followed the Middle East conflict know that THIS issue is something,that in MY opinion,will NEVER be resolved. However,I do have this question. Why is it people in this country like Limbaugh,Beck,Hannity,Savage and others can say anything they want to say about people of color,but the first utterance of something about Israel,people's heads must roll? Also,why is it nobody is taking a look at what started this chain of events in the first place? I understand everything about the State of Israel,I really do but when it comes to military action,people need to start looking at the Middle East conflict a little more objectively instead of having blind loyalties.
