The President Releases His Birth Certificate & I'm Mad As Hell ! ! ! !

Today, the President of The United States released his birth certificate.
Let me say that again!
Today, the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES released his birth certificate!
None of the other 43 Presidents has had to do that. None of them ever had to deal with this type of scrutiny. So why the big fuss?
Is it because he has a "muslim" name?
To a degree, YES!
Is it because some think he's a Manchurian candidate created in a lab somewhere?
As crazy as that sounds, YES!
Is it because MANY people think he is part of some sleeper terrorist cell who wants to destroy this country from the inside out?
YES!
Matter of fact, my ex General Sales Manager made the comment during the 2008 election that "Hussein" as he called him, was going to blow himself up in the White House. THAT'S the kind of sick, distorted attitude most white people in the deep south and many around this country has.
But above all the other reasons I just gave you as to why this President has had to deal with this level of scrutiny. The one that REALLY drives it-is RACISM! MANY white people, yes even the ones who act like it doesn't bother them- MANY have a problem with a black man being President.
We can score touchdowns for their favorite football team.
We can hit a home run for their favorite baseball team.
We can tickle their funny bone by telling a joke that will make them laugh.
We can entertain them by dancing and singing their favorite song.
But the minute we start to own our own business, the minute we start to seek higher education, the minute we aspire to become President of The United States, it's a problem.
Suddenly, our identity is questioned. (Birthers).
Suddenly, our qualifications to be admitted into an Ivy league university is questioned (Donald Trump).
And while we're on Donald Trump- For those of you who still watch and support "Celebrity Apprentice" do me a favor: Go play in traffic during rush hour.

For almost 3 years, this man has had to deal with people attacking- NOT HIS POLICIES- but his integrity, his family and his identity. Yet, NOBODY of color has defended him publicly against people like Trump, Palin and Fox News.
Bill Maher spoke out.
Robert DeNiro spoke out. Ok, Whoopi Goldberg spoke out, but that's about it.
Where was Spike Lee?
Where was Tavis Smiley?
Where was Cornel West?
And WHERE WAS MINISTER FARRAKHAN?
"We all must unite and stand together." Isn't that what the "black leaders" always say?
Yeah......right!
Cowards and hypocrites is what I call them.
This attack on the President's identity isn't just an attack on him, it's an attack on ALL people of color. The underlying message that nobody wants to discuss is this: Regardless of how much education or money you have, to many white people, you were, are and will always be looked upon as a second class citizen.
TRANSLATION: This is MY country and you are still a NIGGER!

*PSA* I know many of you conservative bloggers are frequent visitors to The Board Room. I've seen you repost my political blogs on various sites and call me everything but a child of God. But I know my identity and it's that identity that gives me the boldness and power to speak my mind the way I do (and I'm not talking about birth certificates either). Dwight Howard Sues The Mother of His Child

Royce Reed signed an agreement stating that she wouldn't make any negative comments to the press about Dwight Howard. Well apparently, she did and originally got sued by Howard for $9.2 million. After a judge laughed Howard out of his courtroom, Howard froze her assets. Now, a Florida judge has awarded him $500,000 and Howard says he wants his money WITH INTEREST!
*blank stare*
Can somebody tell me why a man who makes $16,647,180.47 A YEAR is pursuing the mother of his child for $500,000? (Well, actually, it's $551,696.74 because remember,he wants his interest).
Is he that bitter because she put him on blast for only paying $800/month in child support?
Or maybe it's because she has a career (if you call it that) as a reality tv star?
What is it that has him so determined to wipe away the assets of his son's mother?
Could it be that he now realizes he has a child with a woman who acts like .......let's see......how can I say this?
A SKANK?
Oh, c'mon.......don't look at me that way. You know I'm telling the truth.

And that's why Dwight Howard is pursuing her for $551,696.74 (please don't forget the 74 cents).
Yep, Dwight Howard has had to sit back and listen to his teammates, his boys and HIS PARENTS grill him for getting a woman like that pregnant. So, to get back at her for embarassing him like that, he takes her to court and make a fool out of himself with these childish lawsuits.
(No, I'm not a psychiatrist; I just play one here in The Board Room.)
Here's a bit of advice to Dwight Howard and you other ballers and shot callers. Next time before you hit it, do a skank test. Better yet, how about not hitting it at all.(yeah, I know) Or, how about finding the woman who WON'T drop it like it's hot on the first, second or third date. Who knows, you might find a halfway virtuous woman. Or at the very least, someone who won't get on national tv and do what she's doing in the above video.
 Just a thought!

Body of Phylicia Barnes Found

Authorities in Maryland confirmed that one of the two bodies found in a river was the body of missing 16 year old, Phylicia Barnes. Phylicia disappeared shortly after Christmas (2010) when she left North Carolina to go visit relatives in Baltimore. The other body found in the river was that of a young man. The police believe the two are connected.
PLEASE keep her family in your prayers.

The First Lady's Plane Has A "NEAR MISS"

Today the First Lady and Jill Biden were returning to Washington from New York when their plane had a "near miss" with a cargo jet.
WTH?
Ok- First of all:  Why were there any other planes in the vicinity of her plane?
Second of all: How did a CARGO JET get that close to the First Lady's plane without somebody saying, "Hey, that's the First Lady's plane!"

I don't trust these people and neither do I trust the people that surround the President (except for Reggie, Valerie and a few more folks). I told you a year ago, there are too many INSIDE leaks.
TRANSLATION: There's a mole in the inner circle.
You can laugh if you want to, but I'm very serious. Let's continue to keep the Obamas in our prayers because satan the GOP will do anything to keep the President from getting re-elected in 2012.



I tell ya one thang:  If something happens to that woman- I will set it OFF up in dis mutha (SHUT YO MOUF).

Idris Elba Needs Our Help

Idris Elba is the executive director of a new series titled "Milk & Honey". The series was created by Elba, Asha May, Debbie Allen, Lance Gross and others to showcase diverse images of women of color, something we DESPERATELY need on the big screen and small screen. It has an all black cast and the production company (Brown Paper Dolls Company) consist of HBCU graduates.

The series has yet to be picked up by a television network. Elba, along with the production team and cast are attempting to get ONE MILLION VIEWS of the trailer to show network execs that there is an interest in THIS type of show. 
Board of Directors, let's do our part by spreading the word and making sure this series gets picked up-not just by any network......but by a MAJOR network.
If we want to rid ourselves of the negative images we see on television, it's going to take a ground roots effort by the people.

Last night I watched the premiere of Toni Braxton's "Braxton Family Values" and Sinbad's new show-can't think of the name right now-on WETV (Women's Entertainment Television). Both were great shows (in my opinion). The Braxton sisters are crazy but nothing like the over the top drama we've seen from other women of color on TV. Sinbad's show is funny and on a personal level- very inspirational.
PLEASE support those shows and leave mess like "Beverly Hill Fabulous" to die in the cesspool known as VH-1.

Oh and I would like to give Executive Producer, Shaunie O'Neal a shout out. Thanks for creating shows (this mess and "Basketball Wives") that show our people in such a great light. Seriously, you're doing one hell of a job!

Cornel West and Al Sharpton Fight

There are a few reasons why I didn't watch this mess on MSNBC yesterday.
One-I was late getting home from THE WORSHIP CENTER. <(click for website)
Two-The Heat & Celtics were playing.
Three- It was Sunday at The Masters.
And finally
Four- I knew it would be the train wreck it turned out to be.
You see, every few months or so, the usual suspects have a forum, conference, summit to discuss a BLACK AGENDA. They sit at a round table, and try to out wit each other with perky catch phrases and one liners and the one with the biggest applause wins. For years, I've watched the Tavis Smiley(s), Al Sharpton(s) and Cornel West(s) of the world TALK about a BLACK AGENDA. When Clinton was in office, they tried to make him dance to their music by telling him blacks are the ones who voted for him. He danced and was dubbed the First Black President. (I do like Bill Clinton by the way.)
When Bush took office they tried to make him dance but he ignored them and was labeled a racist. (I don't think the man was a racist. An idiot? YES! But not a racist)
Then President Obama took office and they thought this was the golden opportunity to finally get their beloved BLACK AGENDA passed. Now that it's not happening "he's not doing enough for black people".
(I still have no clue what a black agenda is.)
It always the same people with the same demands and the same complaints. And for some reason, many of you cheer this kind of bafoonery on.

    "They're speaking for all black folks"

    "Barack Obama needs to do more to help blacks."

   " Cornel West is telling it like is."

Umm....No they're not- Do what?- No he ain't.....

If Cornel West spent less time trying to criticize the President for not talking about racial profiling and telling these young dudes to stop riding dirty, then I might listen to him.
If Cornel West focused on shutting down payday loan places and teaching people about saving money, then they wouldn't fall prey to high interest rates that lead to some of those Wall St. bankers he's criticizing making the millions they made.

Instead, he blames the President for not pushing forth a BLACK AGENDA!

Meanwhile, there's hell breaking out in the Middle East.
The tea party is running the GOP.
The government barely averted a shutdown.
States are passing Arizona type Immigration Laws.
Some states are making it legal for college students to carry a gun (ON CAMPUS).
The list goes on and on and people like Cornel West thinks the President should be focused on a BLACK AGENDA?
 No wonder his radio show with Tavis Smiley is a flop! Maybe he should try his hand at comedy because his act has offically turned into a joke! I wish those of you who believe in what he's selling would challenge him and ask what the hell is he doing besides TALKING about what the President should be doing! Maybe he should be told that he's asking the President to do what he and members of the CBC should be doing. Until then, maybe he should stay off television and stopping making a mockery of himself and the people he "supposedly" represents.

Goodbye Glenn Beck!

I would like to think that the racist, bigots, good people at FOX "news" fired Glenn Beck because of his over the top, ignorant, and sometimes just down right idiotic conspiracy theroies, but I won't give them that much credit. However, I'm happy that the zombies who watch FOX "news" will have one less personality to influence their backwards way of thinking. Beck is partially (if not totally) to blame for the rise of the modern day kkk, tea party crowd, and other great contributions to American politics like  the dumbest woman inAmerica  Sarah Palin.
So I say, Goodbye Glenn Beck and take Sean Hannity with you!

Mr. Charles Patrick Honored By April 4th Foundation

As you know, today marks the 43rd anniversary of the assasination of Dr. King. Tonight in Memphis, Mr. Charles Patrick will become the 11th recipient of the "I Am a Man" award from the April 4th Foundation, a foundation dedicated to promoting excellence in the field of economic justice and equality.
"Who is Charles Patrick?"
Glad you asked!
Mr. Patrick is a Birmingham native, who in 1954 took his son downtown to buy a Boy Scout uniform. He and a white lady argued over a parking spot and when Mr. Patrick refused to give her the parking spot, she (of course) called him a Nigger and said she was going to tell her husband, who was a police officer. Sure enough, later that day, they came to his house and arrested him- for talking back to a white woman. (BLANK STARE)
The next day while locked up, the woman's husband and his partner came to his jail cell, dragged him out and beat the living daylights out of him.. Well, what they didn't know was that Mr. Patrick wasn't the type of man to just let it go. He hired a lawyer- a white lawyer and they successfully sued the city of Birmingham for police brutality and the officers were fired! (Remember, this was in 1954).
Fearing for his life, Mr. Patrick moved his family to Los Angeles. But 25 years ago, he returned home, built a house and and at age 93, is still alive and kicking.
Standing by his side tonight as he receives this award will be his wife of 63 years, Mrs. Rutha Patrick.
